We don't have any automatic style conversion yet. Factory styles currently are just unmodified factory styles from the original keyboard. Some people convert factory styles to make them work on other keyboards, we try to group them under the "adaptations" section. These conversions are not marked as factory styles, but they should be grouped together with the original factory style. You can figure out what keyboard it is adapted for by looking at the compatibility tags.

But what if i want to download a whole folder of styles, for example ballroom with styles in it, so i dont have to search for each and every style, because that would be not a timesaver

Adam Råstrand The idea behind this site is not to download as much as possible as fast as possible. Other sites give you zipped collections with many styles. This site let you transfer one style at a time directly to your keyboard to be played immediately. If you find it good, then you can save it to your user area and keep it. Then give your feedback to the other user of the site, wether you find the style good or not, by voting 1 to 5 stars on Overall quality and how it Fits song. Only when many users do that, can you be sure that the styles you find here are more valuable than what you find other places.

jenygard oh, but where do i find the original style uploaders webpage? Cause now it seems like there are just waaaaay to many styles, lets say that i want ballroom, can i just search for ballroom, transfer all styles and delete those that sounds bad, but where do they get all styles from like now on this page

Adam Råstrand Have you tried connecting your keyboard via usb? This site starts to shine after you are directly connected and transferring styles on the fly, what jenygard explained.
Instead of downloading all ballroom styles, copying them to your keyboard then testing and deleting what you don't want, the expected workflow is you test them instantly via usb and just don't download what you don't like (and what you like you can also download via usb).

StylePlayer But if i just want ballroom-styles, is there an option to batch transfer styles or will that be posible in the future, and i think it would be a great feature to have folders with genre specifik styles, but will you ad a feature in the future where you could upload a folder of styles for example to genos2 2 and the site will convert it to lets say tyros2 for example.

Adam Råstrand If you want to explore ballroom styles you need to use some keywords to find what you like ("chacha"):

Next to each style you will see a play button (disabled if not connected via usb), so you can just scroll through the site pages of styles and try all those styles.

Currently there is no auto style conversion between keyboards, but it's something we will try to add in the future.

StylePlayer aha, so i cant play styles via inbuilt midi drivers, so i must have it conected all time to the keyboard? But, I think it would be smart to search for a style genre, for exampel movie&show and get all related styles, like categories

Adam Råstrand You need it connected only for previews and transfers. Once you transferred the style it lives inside your keyboard's USER section just as usual.
If you are looking for anything specific try typing that into search. Genres are too generic, we used to have them but then got rid of them.
If you explore the site for a bit and test how it works when connected via usb i think it will click.

StylePlayer I think that genres are great, i know,... We could have, lets say, one category named r&b then sub-categories, for exampel blues and rocknrol, sol and func, or jazz for exampel could be big band, traditional and dixie etc. So, you can either search for a specific style, or sort by genre

Adam Råstrand Genres are almost impossible to define precisely, not to mention sub-genres. Every song is a mix of everything in different proportions. We already had genres but then got rid of them eventually. Some details here: https://styleplayer.io/community/d/35-retiring-genres

Geoff43 thankyou for the list, but i think it would be great if you could also sort by genre, or that it would be a nesesity, but are custom styles adaptations or brand new styles that arnt yamaha

Hi Adam i only posted up a listing of Movie & Showtime as they do not come as a Genre,style player had a Genre listing but it proved too difficult to choose which Genre to include them in as the styles were uploaded as each style could go into multitude of Genres,i hope this makes sence.The search box on style player is excelent for finding any style if you need Ballroom styles as an example just type in rumba beguine or cha cha cha and every file will come up.

Geoff43 ok, but what if i want to search for a specific r&b style do i need to look up every datalist, and search for r&b or can i just search r&b, and a other question, lets say that i select a genos 2 style, for example big band jazz, and then i try live preview on my dgx-670 it sounds very bad, the voices arnt matchd, revo drums sound awfull etc, but if i go to adaptations and select the same style but converted as i understand, it sounds the same in the live preview, no difference what so ever. Have i mist something?
