Everyone seem to like the idea of this site and offering their help, but I feel it might be not very clear what kind of help we need and what can each of you do. I wanted to summarize all the possible ways people could help to make this project grow in size and quality:
- Have some styles that you enjoy playing and think others will like them as well? Consider uploading them.
- Don't have any custom styles but enjoy playing the factory styles? Let others know what songs factory styles can be used to play (find them on the site, click "Suggest a song")
- See someone uploaded a style that is not linked to a song, but you know which song it is for? Link it to that song using "Suggest a song".
- Downloaded some style and it doesn't sound good? Live it a low rating so others would avoid it. Sounds great? Give it 5 stars. Ideally I want everyone rating all the styles they downloaded. Everything being at 5 stars defeats the purpose of having ratings.
- Noticed any issue on the site (spelling errors, wrong artists or songs, straight up bugs)? Bring this up on the forum (if you don't want to register there is a contact email)
- Have some ideas for improvements or where to take this project next? Leave any your ideas on the forum. We have tons of super interesting and challenging planned projects that we need to brainstorm before we can start on them (you can find some of the discussions in the existing forum threads).
If you think you have time and interest doing any of these tasks it would be all we can ask in return. Just don't be indifferent, don't feel like a guest on someone else's site, this is our site that we can turn into anything we want. I am here to contribute my technical skills, you are here to contribute anything you want to contribute. Let's see what we can achieve together.
