USB Connection

I have been trying to download songs using a suitable USB connection between my SX700 and a Laptop with a suitable specification - windows 10. The USB connection is not being recognized by my Laptop or the Keyboard. I have the bonus playlists on a memory stick and these work immediately the stick is inserted in the laptop or keyboard. I tried to download the styles onto a memory stich however that would also not work. Any assistance would be appreciated.

If the usb connection is not recognized it probably means you plugged the cable after the keyboard was already on. The correct order is: plug the cable, turn on the keyboard, open the site.

Hi, I have tried to download the midi driver however get an 'error message 25001 -No device is connected'.
The order of connection is noted and I will try that although I think the driver needs attending to first??

Ray Andrew Yeah the driver needs to be installed first.
Are you connecting USB cable to "To Host" port on the keyboard (square connector)? Try connecting the cable before turning on the keyboard, and then try to install the drivers. If it still doesn't see it try a different USB port on your laptop. If still doesn't work maybe try it on a different PC, if available. If still not then it's something either with the cable or with the keyboard.

Thanks for your note. I will get the 'square' connection tomorrow and hopefully I will have music!

Hi, now I have downloaded the USB driver and the Keyboard appears to be talking to the PC. However whilst the instant download states 'Style file saved as: VienneseWaltz3_4.T406.sty' I cant find the file in the User area???
Any ideas please.

Ray Andrew Do you have an USB stick inserted into a keyboard? In this case it might write it into that Stick instead, see if you can find under USB. That's something I still need to sort out.

Hi, I have managed to get the drivers sorted however when I come to do an immediate download using a USB/B connection it appears to download however I cannot find the downloaded item on my SX700?
How does the Keyboard cope with differing formats of downloads?

Ray Andrew It should appear inside the User section of the styles. Do you have USB stick inserted? See my previous comment, it might be written into the stick instead.
If you still can't find it please paste a link to the style you are downloading, and I will test it.

I downloaded it to a USB/A and can see it under the user however it will not play!!Cant get a sound out of it.
Also cant find the file downloaded via the USB/B connection.

Ray Andrew I have SX700 as well. Just tried it, it seems to load ok. The style itself is missing a bunch of voices since it's Genos2 style, so only drums and a guitar are audible.

Do you have a usb stick inserted into your keyboard while you are transferring style via a cable from this site? It might end up on the USB stick if it's inserted, either in the root folder or under STYLES if you have it.
