Hello, is it possible to Download from Ipad to USB on Genos!?

I use a usb A to USB c connection but i cant transfer it to Genos?

Any suggestions?

Greetings
Abbe

Genos Abbe Unfortunately web midi is not supported on iOS devices through a browser, the only way to make it work is to create an app. Maybe one day I get to creating it but probably not anytime soon (unless there is high interest).

    Thank you.

Ok, so you use to usb to host on the back of the Genos and then to the USB on the PC.

      Hello
I tried ios app webmidi and an ipad, if you allow on the bottom of the screen enable sysex it reconises the midi ports from the webbrowser butt is not working

What about Android? My setup is two Android tablets connected to Genos2 with usb to host. The software I run is MobileSheets Pro. This is showing my sheet music and is controlled by MIDI. Are there Android web browsers that support MIDI?

jenygard Hm I'm not sure. It sounds like there is some potential midi support on Android through Chrome but since you cannot install the keyboard drivers it might not fully work. Have you tried opening the site on Android while connected to the keyboard, nothing happens?

You can also try opening a few online midi testers see if there are any signs of life:
        https://hardwaretester.com/midi
        https://www.midimonitor.com/
        https://versioduo.com/webmidi-test/

I am curious myself (don't have a device to test), please share your findings.

It works with Chrome! I will comment further tomorrow.

This is really great! I have put two Samsung Galaxy Tab's together on my stand to view two pages of sheet music at once. The first tablet is coupled to Genos2 via usb to host cable and they communicate with each other via Wifi. They both have Mobilesheets loaded with its database to access the pdfs and also load registrations that is saved on the keyboard. This is what Mobilesheets do, and it is a cheap solution (the tablets, not the keyboard :-) ) . Before, I used Samsung internal browser or a Firefox android browser to go to internet, but on your advice I loaded Chrome browser and went to styleplayer.io. When I accessed the styles section I saw that the midi in and out boxes was filled with "Digital keyboard". I chose a style and clicked on the antenna symbol. The keyboard reported a download and after a few seconds I could see the new style in my style User section on the keyboard, and it could be played. I also noted that Mobilesheets communication and browser downloads did not interfere with each other.

jenygard Awesome, that's a great setup you have.
Is your tablet connected to a keyboard via a cable or through bluetooth? I wonder if style transfer can be all done wirelessly without any cables, that would be awesome.

It is connected via cable from usb to host port. I have a USB B to USB A kabel with a short USB A to USB C kabel at the end, to connect the primary tablet. I don't think that bluetooth is an option. That may be Mobilesheets that are build that way. I do not know enough of how MIDI works. Or Bluetooth. The only downside to my setup is that I have to switch cables to be able to charge the tablet. It sometimes run empty of power when I want to play. I am an amateur home player, så it's not that problematic.😀

jenygard I think Genos2 comes with a built-in bluetooth, and tablets should have a bluetooth support, so it all should be able to connect wirelessly in theory without any extra adaptors. Only I am not sure if from browser midi support perspective bluetooth connection is the same as usb connection, if anyone tried bluetooth out please let us know how it went.

But it is good to know that it works on Android via a cable, that's already really convenient, bluetooth would be just a cherry on top.

              StylePlayer
The Genos2 and the tablet can be connected via Bluetooth. I did this, started Chrome and then styleplayer.io. But nothing turned up in the Midi in and out boxes. Bluetooth Audio is working fine, but I have not been able to find out much about Bluetooth MIDI.

When i use ipad and the app frome the apple store webmid i can conect and is is showing midi butt it is not Working.

It shows in the select midi input ;poort 1 and poort 2

And in red under ; expekted string, received number

              All in red color

I have a foto butt can copie in to post

Jeroen Yeah it doesn't work on iOS currently, and there is no known workaround.
