I have just joined, so I thought I should ask for a little help. I have a Tyros 2, and I was wondering if there is a way to check the availability of style for this model. I have tried, unsuccessfully so far, to copy a style onto a usb, and play it.

Is there any other formats that might be compatible for the T2

    Paul Bleasdale Most of the styles on the site are for Tyros3 and up currently. Which ones work for Tyros2 is not rally known, the hope is that users eventually will try them and mark what styles are compatible or not compatible with their keyboards. In the future maybe we will have automatic compatibility detection, but it's not going to happen anytime soon probably.

    There is also a possibility that someone might just contribute styles made specifically for Tyros2 in the future. If you have some Tyros2 styles you can share maybe you can start the trend, maybe this will attract other Tyros2 owners and they will contribute their styles That's kind of the idea of this project.

      I am also new to the forum. I am French. I have published some styles of songs compatible with TYros 2. In principle, if the format is in STY, it is compatible. On the other hand, a style from T2 can be read on other Tyros, but will not have, I believe, the three intros and ending. You can try by going to "songs" to download the styles that I have proposed:
      Caroline, Mrs Robinson, Life is for living for example, which were previously created for Tyros 2.
      Otherwise, here is a link where you will find a mountain of styles shared between members. The site is in French, do as I do, use Google translate if you do not master the language. Follow the instructions for registration: Presentation, avatar, pseudonym for registration and follow the rules of the forum. Once registered, you will be able to have access to style downloads.

      Here is some information:
      The tyros 2 only reads SFF 1 type styles.
      First, it should be noted that there are three styles file formats for Yamaha instruments: SFF0, SFF1, SFF2 (SFF = Style Format File).
      These formats have evolved gradually and the instruments have ensured what is called "upward compatibility", i.e. the new instrument can read the old formats.

      I suggest you register on this forum, write, of course in English, follow the instructions carefully (presentation, pseudonym, photo/avatar...etc.
      You will download the folder on your computer, you will unzip with ZIP and you will copy the files that interest you on a USB key, it's my method and it works perfectly.
