  • Issue with wrong usernames on the forum

when I click on community my user name immediately changes to Kolar but I'm registered as Rose Red?

    Kolar Uh oh this is really concerning, I also saw another report about it but thought maybe it was a misunderstanding.

    When you go to the main site do you see the correct username? but then it switched to the wrong username on forum?

    Does anyone else got this problem?

        Not sure if it's related, but I just noticed that someone made a post with my username. I have not post anything yet 😀

        My name in the community is also different.
        But I thought it was intended by the author from the beginning!

          Oh my, looks like we have a major disaster on our hands.

          If you are affected please post what's your real username so I can investigate why it was mixed. Also please post what username do you see when you go to the primary site, is it correct or also wrong.

            My name doesn't change from primary site to the community, but maybe the issue happend to another user that got my username.

              yes my user name of Rose Red shows on the main site but changes to Kolar when I click on community. It goes back to Rose Red when I use the back arrow to go to the main site.

              On the main page my name is Yakubov. it's true
              In the community my name is Xavier_PRUYS. It's not true

              lol now I am also affected, or should I say "infected"? My real name is "FabiOh" on the main site, and it changes just yet to this one here. I could swear that it was not like this before, I mean it worked with the username.

              Ok, just logged off in the community and on the main page and signed back in, now I stay the same and right username all the time.

                Jugge It was me Ted Kowal, I don't know how it got your name as my user name?

                  Yes, the Username switch happened to me. When I went to the Community, my Username showed up as Genosfan.

                  To fix this bug, I had to:

                  1. Logout
                  2. Close the browser.
                  3. Relaunch the browser.
                  4. Log back in with my email and password.

                  Now my username displays correctly in the Community Forum.

                  Did not work with me. I logged out closed the browser and resigned in. Still the wrong username. The only difference I am using the google sign in and not email password.

                    That is disappointing.

                    Could you please try logging back in with your email and password credentials? That seemed to fix my problem.

                    I think I was able to fix the problem. I had to log everyone out in the process, but if you click login on the forum it should log you right in under the right name.

                    I am afraid I won't be able to fix the existing forum posts that were attributed to wrong users.

                    I apologize for the mess.
