Hello Style Player
I'm giving you some information about the UVN voices that can be put as options on the Tyros4 and 5, TVN voice on the T2 and 3 if I'm not mistaken. You can add these IF and only wavelengths if you have added the 512 MB or 1 GB flash card on the keyboard. This card is no longer available for sale, with luck like I had two years ago, you could find a second-hand one on the net.
A little reminder: For the Tyros 4 which is more recent than the T4, you need to have the YEM software (see on the net for explanation). It's absurd, it's so simple with the Tyros 4 to load or remove one or more UVN voices while with the T5, it's a hassle! I have to erase all the voices and put it back. (So you can format to start over).
CAREFUL: It is not a question of deleting only the name of the UVN voice, it is IMPERATIVE to delete all the waves that correspond to the voice select: Voice creator > no category (in general) > locate the name of the voice > with the cursor, position yourself >delete select for all the corresponding waves which become on a black background and then delete. Above all, don't do "ALL" for delete!
I am attaching some information, I invite you to find out more on lenet, other forums, for example "TYROS.fr" for more information:
It's a well-known "problem" now on T4: the edit+delete library only deletes the name file of the location on the flashmemory... To free up your flash memory, you have to delete the wave files associated with each voice (sometimes up to 80 files per voice)... To do this, voice creator/expansion module/ (at the top right-F button, scroll with the rotary wheel until you get to "no category"... there, your remaining wave wave files should appear in the central table = if you want to remove them all, to make a clean slate, delete+all+ok= the process starts and can be quite long depending on the number of MB used = blue bar that progresses... If you only want to remove some of them, you have to select everything manually and run a delete+ok without going through "all"...
Don't forget = wave deleting (as described) and library edit (moving/deleting files in flash locations are two independent processes)... Hoping to have guided you a little... You will find tutorials on this subject on all Anglo Saxon forums!
But why doesn't yamaha explain itself clearly for this problem. What is the point of having a 1024 MB ram if you can't empty easily. And apparently another problem, if I understood yamaha correctly on the reference guide, you can't save a downloaded premium pack like the vintage keyboard pack present with the purchase of my machine on an external support. We areforced to remove those present in the ram expansion, being even limited apparently to a certain number of possible wavs for the entire 1024MB ram.
I hope you can put some info in a forum section about these voices in the form of UVN waves. Have a nice day.
PsĀ : PS: I was wrong, it's not on this forum that I got UVN voices, but if someone has installed a flash card on their Tyros 4 and wants some UVN voices, I can send it to their email address.
